He get anxious first meeting new people or animals, but once he gets use to them, he is very welcoming. He doesn't like a crate and will cry if confined without his loved ones. He loves the outdoors and treats. Cruze - He is the bashful one. He is so loving and sweet, but is somewhat stand-offish until you gain his trust. He is more independent and will sleep with you or will find a comfortable spot to lay around the house. He gets nervous when you take him places until he sees it isn't the vet or the groomer. He does good for both but will shake nervously. He knows all his basic commands. He loves the outdoors and does fine in a crate when needed. He is very lovable and likes any attention that is given to him. He is very good about barking to let you know when someone is at the door and will always watch for someone pulling into the drive. He also loves the outdoors and treats. Bentley and Cruze are inseparable. They love and depend on each other for company and for playing together. They truly love each other. Neither of them like alot of excitement or loud noises, as that will make them anxious and fearful. Both have had all their shots, including the 3 year rabies, they are neutered and micro chipped. They are both non-shedding and hypoallergenic. Would not recommend small children or hyper animals with them as they will make them anxious and upset. They will give so much love to their new owner. They really warm your heart with their sweet and caring demeanor's. Bentley and Cruze need a home with an adult or older couple that are home all the time and can spoil them with love and attention. They love to go in the car and would love RV trips or vacations. They love to go for walks and being outdoors. They need a fenced in back yard for outdoor playtime. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-19-00351Jasmine (female)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats
Personality: Very High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Jasmine Female Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) mix. (Born: December 2014) Spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Adoption fee $150.00 Jasmine is a fun loving girl! She really enjoys playing catch and is very acrobatic and will leap through the air to catch a tennis ball! She can get a little pouty when you are done playing be she's not! For this reason she needs to be in a home that will dedicate play time with her every single day especially during her young years. Having another playful dog in her adoptive home would be best. She loves to run around with her foster siblings in their fenced yard. A dominant ... (Read More)female in her forever home would probably not be best, but a submissive female or a male will work out just fine. A dog that would tolerate her herding them every once in a while! She has never shown aggression towards dominant dogs, but she hasn't shown any submission either. Her foster parents have really worked with her on potty training. She will let out a quiet but audible cry when she does need to go out. Listening for her sign that she has to go out is key. Sometimes she will have a little piddle accident when she gets excited to meet new people. She is not a fan of being crated when you have to leave her alone. Her foster parents leave her free to roam their house when they are away and let her sleep where she likes at night. Which is usually in their bed or on a dog bed on the floor in the bedroom. She is very much a furniture dog because she wants to be by your side, especially during thunderstorms! We believe she would be fine with a household of kids, especially if the kids play with her. She needs a home where she will get a lot of attention and play time and not be left for long periods of time. Cattle dogs have a lot of energy and need constant stimulation and play time in order to be happy. If you are considering adopting Jasmine, please keep that in mind! She does well with cats, mainly leaves them alone but she has had some moments of cuddling her foster cat sibling. If you are interested in adopting Jasmine and are committed to making sure she gets the play time and exercise that she needs, please fill out an application. Beagle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Newton : 7 yr old beagle/manchester terrier mix (? on the manchester terrier) good with other dogs, people, older kids Newton is such a funny, adorable boy! He didn't have an easy past life; at some point, he was hit by a car resulting in a dislocated left front leg and a broken right rear leg. Neither received medical care so he's left with a unique gait which resembles a peg-legged pirate's stiff-legged way of walking. When I see Newton ambling around, I always want to say 'Aye, matey!' His legs don't slow him down, though; Newton runs and plays and explores like a 3 year old. He's also very affectionate and relishes getting his ... (Read More)ears scratched and his back rubbed; he's got huge, limpid brown eyes that he uses to full affect. It's impossible to resist him when he's asking for some loving. Newton gets along well with other dogs but would be fine as an only dog, too. He likes to go on walks but also enjoys cuddle time on the sofa. What a great boy he is! His adoption fee is $150; he's neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-09-01-00011Austin (male)

Plott Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

***PLEASE NOTE -- THIS IS A COURTESY POST. AUSTIN IS WITH ANOTHER RESCUE. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING HIM, PLEASE EMAIL: lisa@hotblownglass.com****** Austin He has a great personality!! Super chill!! He was a street dog....and in some ways will remain that in his mind. He will eat raw veggies right out of the garden and apples off trees. So, that means if you have tasty veggies and fruit within reach on the counter he will eat them. Tummy- tough as nails!! Austin has seasonal allergies. He currently is taking OTC allergy meds, but as fall is getting here I see he needs more to ease his itchy ears and feet. He takes fish ... (Read More)oil/coconut tablets for his skin...oily yet itchy. Off and on ! His vision is going. About 1/2 gone. Very hard for him to see at night and in shadowy areas. Usually then he just follows his nose. So if you hold out a snack in low light, he tries to see the bite and snaps some times but he can't really see it at night time or in dim light. People think he is being mean, but he's not. We/vet, think he has had some eye trauma. And some cataracts developing. This has had no negative influence on his disposition. His life is complete with a comfy bed and good food and snacks. He does not realize how solid he is so when he leans on your lap he's a lap full. Austin loves his soft bed. And does not think it is a toy! He does like to play with you and chasing toys and tossing them around. Plothound Mix @9yrs old.(we really don't know) A forever young kinda fellow! I have had Austin since the spring of 2012. He came on a rescue transport from Ohio. I was his temp foster for another rescue, who signed for him. But once they realized he was a mature street dog and it would take some time to be house trained, they sent him back to me. Current on shots/negative HW. Adoption guidelines: I require a home visit to observe what the home living environment will be with you. I require a vet reference. 100.00 adoption fee I have found that my dogs do best when potential adopters give of their time and come to visit at least twice and hang out and walk with them and mingle and get to know them well. Especially, with the big boys and girls...can people handle a medium to large dog. And a signed contract that DSR dogs will be returned to me and Doggies Serious Rescue if it does not work out, in any time frame. (Less)

Personality: High Energy
Health: Vaccinations Current

***PLEASE NOTE -- THIS IS A COURTESY POST. HARVEY IS WITH ANOTHER RESCUE. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING HIM, PLEASE EMAIL: lisa@hotblownglass.com****** Harvey Harvey-bagarvey-tooturally!! This super energetic happy go lucky fellow gets his bounding fun-loving nature from his husky/hound/pitty mixology. Harvey sure is a handsome fellow that LOVES to play with his foster siblings. He will play with whoever wants to play. His enthusiasm keeps from a serious long-term training session. We are still working on some counter surfing. He enjoys looking at what I have up there but doesn't take anything down. When Harvey first arrived on a ... (Read More)rescue transport out of Georgia, he seemed extremely thin. But having filled out, it is just his breed mix and energy level that keeps him having such a handsome physique. Harvey has overcome his crating issues, he is okay with going in and having down time, (but without bedding) Bedding is a great tugowar material. He also had to learn his collar was an okay thing! On occasion is seems as though he remembers that some had treated him badly having to do with his collar. Now, it's all excitement about the collar and leash to go for a walk. With him being part husky he will need a large fenced yard to burn off his energy. A short walk in the evening will not do!! Harvey weighs @60lbs. and is 1-2yrs old. I send all my dogs out current on shots. He is neutered and microchipped. Heartworm negative and takes monthly heartworm preventative. He keeps a close eye on what's outside the fence and will sound the alarm and let you know he sees 'it'. Unknown-what he thinks about cats. He is okay with small dogs with a good introduction. Harvey has no food aggression issues. He waits for snacks with his buddies. While I work at the counterČ'Ř|he is a leaner, leaning against the back or side of my leg. Adoption fee $100.00 Due to the high volume of emails received, we recommend you visit our website and fill out an adoption application. This does not obligate you to adopt, it just helps us determine if a certain dog is a good fit for your household. Adoption applications can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Thank you! Angel is a really sweet older girl. Her previous owner was elderly and unable to continue to care for her. She spends most of her day sleeping. She wants nothing more than to follow you ... (Read More)around and sleep at your feet or in your lap. She is good with dogs, cats, birds and even chickens but would prefer to be an only fur child. She's never had to share her person, bed or food with other dogs or kids but is doing great on all accounts in her foster home. She is easily spooked possibly due to a bit of hearing loss so we recommend a home without children as a precaution. She is fully house trained and walks well on a leash. She loves car rides! Angel would do best in a home where she is not left alone for long periods of time as she has always been in a home where her owner is home most of the day. Angel does have a long history of environmental allergies and arthritis. Both of these are very easily managed with proper medication and diet. We also ran extensive bloodwork recently and the veterinarian said she is great health for her age! Also, due to her breed she does require regular grooming. This sweet girl just needs someone to love her through her golden years! (Less)

Haley is an adorable 6-7 year old pointer/Bassett hound mix. She has the cutest long body and short, stumpy legs-She truly is the cutest mix ever! Haley came to be a Waldo's dog, along with her friend Blue, after their long-time owner died. It is not a requirement that Blue and Haley be adopted into the same home but if you want to adopt both that would be great! Haley loves human attention, loves to be petted, loves to give kisses, and loves to snuggle with her foster mom. She is always ready to greet you with a tail wag when she sees you.     Meet handsome Mr. Blue! Blue became a Waldo's dog when his owner died. He is a terrier mix, is a little under 20lbs with long legs and a little nub-tail. We believe Blue to be around 9 years old, but he's still got pep in his step! Blue came into rescue with his lifetime companion, Haley. It's not a requirement to adopt both Haley and Blue, but if you happen to want them both, that would be great! Beagle    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

BILL: 8-9 YEAR OLD BEAGLE GREAT WITH OTHER DOGS, ADULTS, OLDER KIDS NOT POTTY TRAINED 'Our Bill is such a funny, quirky little guy. He always wants to know what is going on around him and can consistently be found right in the middle of all the activity ... eyes bright and inquisitive, tail wagging ... eager to discover what all the excitement is about. Bill trots around as he keeps track of the antics of his doggy pals as well as the endeavors of his human friends. Because of his bowed frown legs, his gait is unique and adorable ... he looks like a grizzled old cowboy who's ridden one to many horses! It's impossible not to ... (Read More)smile as you watch him scuttle around in his efforts to keep track of all the proceedings. Because of his inquisitive and social nature, Bill doesn't like to be shut away from the action or his people and will raise a bit of a fuss to let you know he's not happy. But as soon as the impeding gate or door is opened, and he can once again commence his explorations, he's perfectly content. He's entertaining to say the least. Bill is affable and gets along well with other dogs. Although he isn't interested in rough housing, he does enjoy gentle play with his friends. Although he wants to be nearby his people, he is not overly needy and doesn't have to receive attention continually. But if you take the time to scratch his rump and tickle under his chin, Bill relishes the affection. Bill came to us with a chronic and serious infection in both of his ears which had gone untreated for a long time; he was in excruciating pain, poor boy! Because of this, he is wary of having his ears touched and will yelp and pull away if he thinks they are going to be handled. For this reason, we don't recommend that he be in a home with children under 10 years of age. Although partially potty trained, William hasn't quite grasped the concept that should only take care of business outside so will need some patience and consistency to achieve fully house broken status. If you'd like to give this charming, eccentric fellow the 'forever home' he deserves, don't hesitate to contact us. Bill's adoption fee is $100; he's neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations.' Rescue Me ID: 16-05-04-00344Josephine (female)

Treeing Walker Coonhound Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Josie: 4 year old coonhound/bloodhound mix Great with dogs, people, children Potty trained Josephine's forever home must have a fenced yard and a doggie companion. We can't say enough about Josie! She's definitely a keeper! Despite her large size, she thinks she's a lap dog and will crawl up on to you and fall asleep if given half a chance. Although not overly active, she does need to engage in play and get stimulation regularly or she gets bored and gets into mischief ... meaning she follows her hound nose and gets in the garbage or pulls food off the counters, the little stinker! But keep her invigorated with ... (Read More)distractions and romping in the yard and she's a perfect house guest. She will then be found lounging on her favorite piece of furniture, waiting patiently for some love and affection. Josie is great with other dogs of all sizes; she prefers semi-active companions with whom she can play chase but also hang out and watch the world go by. Her bloodhound heritage is evident in her clumsy gait, her long ears and her keen nose. She does have a deep bay but doesn't howl inordinantly; she lets loose when she sees a squirrel or a rabbit but otherwise is relatively quiet. Let us know if you'd like to adopt this love bug! Her adoption fee is $150. She's spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations. We require an adoption application be filled out before a meet and greet is set up. This does not obligate you to adopt, it just helps us determine if a particular dog would be a good fit for your household. An adoption application can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org (Less)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Chipper: 1 1/2 yr old wire haired dachshund/terrier mix. 12 lbs. Good with other dogs/older kids/most people Chipper is the epitome of his name; he's feisty, perky and upbeat. He's a little rascal who is the life of the party and can always be found in the midst of his doggy friends, running and gnawing on legs and pulling on tails. He's really a hoot! But he has another facet to his personality ... he's an absolute love bug! Chip delights in being held and cuddled and melts over baby talk. He gives the very best kisses to show how much he appreciates the special attention. Although he relishes his shenanigans with his canine ... (Read More)buddies, Chipper would still rather get TLC. He's unique in appearance as well; his little blonde mohawk make him look like a tiny rock star! You can't help but chuckle at him! But he doesn't mind! He does occasionally take a dislike to a person; we haven't figured out yet what bothers him but he barks and doesn't want the individual to handle him. For this reason, we recommend that he not be placed in a home with young children. He would thrive in an environment where he had a playful companion as well as consistent love and affection. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Henry: 7 year old german shepherd/husky mix 75 lbs good with women/older kids/some men (can be scared of some men); good with most dogs (except large & dominant males) & particularly likes little dogs; potty trained Fee $125 Oh, Henry! What a silly, goofy, charming boy he is! You'll notice his innate sweetness within a few minutes of meeting him; he's very sensitive and his feelings get hurt very easily. It's not just his docility that attracts people to him; he's a bit of a clown as well! He's rather clumsy and tends to trip a lot; he just doesn't always know where his legs are going. His asymmetrical ... (Read More)face will make you chuckle; when you're talking to him, he cocks his head and his ears perk up and you just know he's about to say something silly in response. Henry loves toys and can keep himself entertained for hours, just tossing them around and chasing them. He relishes lounging on beds and lying in the sunshine, interspersed with perimeter patrol of the yard while checking for pesky squirrels and chewing on his toys. He hasn't had the easiest life; his original owner kept him outdoors and abused him. As a result, he's a bit shy and can be fearful of men. Henry is still adjusting to experiencing new things - like car rides and gentle caresses - but is learning the joy of feeling the wind in his face and having his ears scratched. When we got him, Henry tested positive for heartworms but has gone through full treatment and is doing very well now. He would be happiest in a quiet home where he can receive the patience and love which he previously lacked. Henry has some hip issues is on several medications. Morphine Sulfate $103 every 60 days Vetprofen $93 every 90 days Gabapentin $14 every 45 days Henry's adoption fee is $125; he's neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. (Less)
